At the end of this consultation process, the region-specific views and opinions on the Water Vision for Europe were analysed in a final workshop and then presented during the 5th World Water Forum in Istanbul in March 2009, as a European contribution to the forum and as a result from wide ranging regional consultations.

Module 2: Vision Mapping
As an outcome of the regional workshops and as a follow up to the consultation process, vision mapping will monitor the status quo of Europe’s water management and usage . This survey identifies the gaps and obstacles which hinder the implementation of the Vision aims.

Module 3: Vision Animation
Motivation to move towards sustainable water management can only arise, if citizens are aware of the long-term negative impacts of their actual water use and if they have incentives and tools to act and change behaviour or take actions to promote sustainable water management. Humoristic animations, based on the vision text will visualize in an understandable way what to do to become a sustainable and water conscious citizen.
