  • Ms. Miletto has been involved in the assessment, development and management of water resources for over 20 years, and has also worked in the fields of geothermal energy and environment. Her experience working in both research projects and technical programs assistance includes work in Italy, the Mediterranean, the USA, Europe, Central and South America, Eastern Africa and China. Ms Miletto, a native of Italy, has joined WWAP from the Organization of American States (OAS) General Secretariat in Washington DC, where she served as a Water Resources Senior Specialist since 2002. While there, her activities concentrated on groundwater management, water pollution, and exploration and development of geothermal renewable energy sources. She served as the Operational Coordinator of the OAS – UNESCO ISARM Americas Programme for the inventory and characterization of the Transboundary Aquifers of the Western Hemisphere. From 2006-2008 she was also the Chief Coordinator of the Chemicals & Environment Program at the OAS.
