- In July 2008, Bertrand Charrier, Ph.D. in physics has been nominated Director General of fondation Chirac. Since 2003, Bertrand Charrier has been the Vice President of Green Cross International, a nongovernmental organization chaired by Mikhail Gorbachev. Bertrand Charrier had been the Executive Director of the organization since 1996. The main objective of Green Cross is to promote new values and to facilitate a change in the relationship and between humankind and the environment.
