Terms & conditions

Eligibility Criteria

You are welcome to enter the competition when you are :

  1. A citizen of the European Union;
  2. Aged between 15 – 24;
  3. A (team of) non-professional video producer(s).

Video requirements

  1. The movies can be produced by individuals or in teams up to 4 people;
  2. The video must be between 1 to 3 minutes long;
  3. The format should be uploaded on Youtube available in Standard Definition (720×576) or High Definition (1280 x 720 pixels or above);
  4. The video should not contain inappropriate contents, language or imagery. Any movie that contains violence, racism, pornography or personal attacks on people or organizations is  excluded from the contest;
  5. The video can be produced in any EU language. Subtitles in English are required for each non-English spoken entry;
  6. The video should be current and not more than 6 months old;
  7. No videos that were previously submitted for competitions will be accepted;
  8. Aquawareness is not liable for any late, misrouted, lost or damaged entries.

Intellectual property rights

  1. ​The video must be original work and must not infringe the copyright, trademark and intellectual proprietary rights of any third parties;
  2. The video should not contain any explicit company references, logos, nor should it promote any brand, product or service;
  3. The entrant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the video, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit the exhibition and use of the photograph in the manner set forth in these official rules without additional compensation;
  4. As to author rights related to the videos, the production team retains the moral rights for the original work, but accepts to transfer all economic rights (copyright) of the work to the European Water Partnership. The production teams thus grant the EWP permission to adapt, edit, modify, format, reproduce and translate the video and use the video for public performance, broadcast and communicate their videos to the public.
  5. If the work is found to have infringed on any intellectual property rights, the production team will be solely responsible.

The non respect of any of the terms and conditions will lead to exclusion from the competition and prizes already awarded will be withdrawn.
