The Steering Committee includes representatives from the strategic program partners as well as representatives of the European Commission, the European Environment Agency (EEA) and the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS). Its main aim is to provide guidance on strategic questions of the European Water Stewardship.

 Goals of the SC are to

• Review the project structure and strategy.
• Discuss and approve the report of the program status and progress.
• Develop and agree on future strategic directions and key milestones with regard to the development of the Stewardship Program.

Schedule of SC meetings

The first meeting of the Steering Committee took place in September 2009. To date the Steering Committee gathers three times a year in the EWP office in Brussels.
