First Mineral Water Bottler EWS Certified!

Chaudfontaine was the first to receive the gold level EWS certificate October 2nd, 2013 at their bottling plant in Chaudfontaine, Belgium. The certificate was officially handed over by Certification Body representative, Eerik Schipper of Control Union Certifications at Coca-Cola’s annual Sustainability event.
The event celebrated the long-term sustainability goals of the site, with water management at is core. The event brought together representatives from national media, local and national authorities, EWP stakeholders and internal Coca-Cola and Chaudfontaine staff.
Friedrich Barth, EWP Co-Chairman, congratulated Chaudfontaine in his keynote speech saying “Eight months ago, the site of Chaudfontaine started an ambitious evaluation of its water management performance. I am proud to welcome Chaudfontaine today in the family of EWS pioneers. This production site is now a real EWS Water Steward.”
