26.-31.08.2012: World Water Week, Stockholm, Sweden
Dec 15th, 2011 |
The 2012 World Water Week will be held under the theme “Water and Food Security” on the 26th till 31 st of August 2012 in Stockholm.
An ambience of collaboration, respect, and innovation will once again define the World Water Week environment, as experts, researchers, stakeholders and representatives from national and local governments, civil society, international organisations, the UN system, and businesses gather to discuss opportunities, challenges and solutions to creating a water and food secure world.
There are enormous opportunities for all stakeholders involved to manage food and water resources more efficiently, both in the field and throughout the supply chain, and this will be explored during the 2012 World Water Week. In setting the agenda, we will consider and prioritise among all facets of this global challenge in order to present practical solutions, policies, and strategies for keeping earths’ precious water and food resources safe, secure, fairly shared and accessible to all.
