During next week’s Amsterdam International Water Week Conference (1-3 November), the EWP organises two events: STREAM Policy Seminar and European Water Stewardship (EWS) session.
Tuesday 1 November, 14.00-17.30: STREAM Policy Seminar – State of the Art in Urban Water Management.
The first STREAM Policy Seminar focuses on bringing together policy and researchers to find practical solutions for the challenges of urban water management. The Seminar is split in two sessions, with the first session outlining the developments in research and on policy level, and the second session presenting the practical implementation of new measures in urban water management and the challenges encountered in this process. Wednesday 2 November, 11.30 – 13.00: European Water Stewardship (EWS) – the practical tool for implementing sustainable water management in industry and agriculture.
The concept of Water Stewardship is proving itself worldwide as a driving force behind the promotion of sustainable water management in water-using organisations in different sectors. During this session the recent developments in the European Water Stewardship Program will be outlined. Furthermore a number of leading partners in the Stewardship Program will present their efforts on promoting sustainable water management and the added value Stewardship has for their organisation.
