EWS Launch “A vision becomes reality”, Brussels, Belgium

Oct 13th, 2011 |

The European Water Partnership cordially invites you to the European Water Stewardship Launch “A vision becomes reality”, a flagship event for sustainable water users in agriculture and industry, to be held on the 24th of November 2011 from 09:00 to 16:00 at the Royal Academy of Belgium in Brussels.

This high-level event will provide a platform for representatives from civil society, business, agriculture and the European institutions to discuss and identify common opportunities or challenges in order to take concrete steps towards sustainable water management.

Key speakers, among others, will be:

  • Mr. Janez Potočnik (European Commissioner for the Environment)
  • Mr. Peter Gammeltoft (Head of Unit for Water and Marine Environment, DG Environment, European Commission)
  • Mrs. Dominique Reiniche (President of Coca-Cola Europe Group)
  • Mr. Friedhelm Schmider (Director General, European Crop Protection Association, ECPA)

The European Water Stewardship (EWS) is the integrative system for business and agriculture to implement, assess and communicate sustainable water management practices. As a result of a multi-stakeholder process coordinated by the European Water Partnership (EWP), the EWS embodies the know-how of water-users in agriculture and industry. It follows on the Water Vision for Europe by defining a system of clear steps towards sustainable water management at operational and river basin levels. To get further notification of updates, please visit the EWP website.

Register by clicking here by Thursday, the 10th of November 2011.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Brussels in November!
