Sep 7th, 2011 |
Brussels, 07 September 2011. During two pilot rounds (2010-2011) in industry and agriculture, the European Water Stewardship (EWS) Standard has been approved as applicable and robust tool to develop integrated water management response strategies. Based on the feedback from practitioners and from technical experts, the preliminary (and 4th) version of the EWS standard is now ready for final public consultation.
Referring to the Code of Good Practice for Setting Social and Environmental Standards of the ISEAL Alliance, this Standard document will undergo as from today a public online consultation for 60 days. Comments of all interested parties are highly welcome and will be followed-up by the EWS coordination.
This final public consultation gives all stakeholders with an interest in water the possibility to support the EWS Standard becoming tool for Sustainable Water Use in Europe!
Submit all comments directly per e-mail to Katrien Moubax, under: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for submission of comments is Monday, 7th of November 2011, 18h00. All comments should be provided in English.
A summary of the consultation’s outcomes will be published on the EWP website.
