EWP joins forces with Umweltcluster Bayern

Brussels, 21 October 2010. The European Water Partnership (EWP) will join forces with the Umweltcluster Bayern (“Environmental Technology Cluster Bavaria”).
The Umweltcluster Bayern is an initiative which facilitates collaboration between the actors of environmental technology in Bavaria. Its main purpose is to stimulate the development of innovative technologies and to contemporarily transfer them into internationally successful products. Therefore it offers a wide portfolio of services. The Umweltcluster Bayern has a strong focus on water technologies and brings together some of the most innovative actors in this field. Besides it concentrates major competences in waste-management and recycling and alternative energy production, especially energy from waste and biomass.
The organizational framework of the Cluster is constituted by an association carried by all Bavarian chambers of commerce and industry and two chambers of crafts. The Umweltcluster Bayern is supported by the Bavarian state government in context of the Cluster Initiative Bavaria.
