Brussels, 1 April 2010. Next week, the Intergroup Water will come together in Brussels to discuss “the Spanish EU presidency’s perspective on the European water policy” with a special focus on climate change and water scarcity and droughts.

Key note speaker will be Ms. Marta MOREN ABAT, General Director responsible for water in the Spanish Ministry of Environment agriculture and rural development. Introductions will be given by MEP Dr. SEEBER, President of Intergroup Water and Ms Klara SZATKIEWICZ, president of EUREAU. Peter GAMMELTOFT, Head of the Water Unit of DG Environment will give the perspective of the Commission.
