Press Invitation: European Youth Water Summit

Brussels, 16 March 2010. The first European Youth Water Summit, starting this evening at Brussels City Hall, will pass the floor to young people from 16 European countries to discuss water community challenges and their experience gained in this field. During two days 36 young Europeans aged between 15 and 25 will debate current water needs and priorities at international and local levels with European decision makers.
Simulating the debates and decision making process of the European Parliament young Europeans will be working out policy recommendations outlining how to best realize the aims of the EWP’s Water Vision for Europe. This European Youth Water Declaration will be presented and incorporated into the Aquawareness Policy Forum taking place on the 22nd of March.

The European Youth Water Summit is enabled by the Coca Cola Foundation. It is organized by the European Water Partnership in cooperation with Solidarity Water Europe.
