Aug 26th, 2009 |
1-2 October 2009
The European Small Hydropower Association together with the European Water Partnership are pleased to invite you to a first in series of training seminars to discuss some of the most critical challenges that the hydropower sector is facing today. The aim of this seminar is to provide a platform for discussion between all parties on topics such as
- The reserved flow seen from authority-producer level perspectives as well as demonstrated by case examples from Slovenia and Norway;
- The making of River Basin Management Plans – How to integrate the targets of the two directives (Directive on the promotion of the renewable energies & Water Framework Directive) to the National Renewable Energy Action Plans and to the River Basin Management Plans which are both currently being drafted by Member States?
- Certification for Hydro – Would a European level certification for hydro be possible and what would be the future prospects of it?
The seminar also takes participants to a site visit to see a small hydropower plant in the Wallonia region in Belgium and to a dinner at the Chaudfontaine Castle.
You can register for this event by sending the registration form to info@esha.be by 2 September 2009 at the latest. Seminar fee is EUR 200 for ESHA/EWP members and EUR 280 for non-members. This includes lunches, dinner and the site visit. More information on the programme can be found in the agenda.
